Hi! We’re sisters Julia and Madelyn, co-founders of Summit Creative Studio.

Summit Creative began in 2022 when Madelyn was asked to create photos and videos for Lutsen Mountains’ social media. Julia jumped in to collaborate, and we quickly realized how much we loved the process. What started as a fun project soon grew into a small business focused on working with companies that share our values of adventure, outdoor recreation, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.

After completing the Lutsen project, we connected with organizations that support our Portage and Paddle Youth Crewand began collaborating on marketing ideas. Since then, we’ve created photo and video content for environmentally-focused companies, nonprofits, and community partners. We also enjoy capturing meaningful adventure moments for families and individuals—preserving stories of time outdoors and time together.

Because we’ve also founded adventure programs for youth and peers, documenting experiences is a big part of what we do. We love sharing photos and videos from expeditions and youth crews, and we’re excited to bring that same energy and storytelling to the companies and communities we work with.
